Xenical is to treat people who are overweight or obese. This medicine works by targeting the absorption of dietary fat in your body rather than suppressing your appetite.

Dietary fats are large molecules that need to be broken down before they can be absorbed into the body. They are broken down by enzymes called lipases. That is, lipases play an important role in the digestion of dietary fat. When taken with a meal, Xenical interferes with the activity of these enzymes. This allows about 30% of the fat eaten in the meal to pass through the gut undigested. Therefore, your body cannot store these excess calories as fatty tissue or use them as a source of energy. This helps you to reduce your weight by burning up fat that you are already carrying, maintain your lower weight and minimise any weight regain. Losing even small amounts of weight and keeping it off produces additional health benefits for you, especially when you are at risk for other diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. Xenical can also help to improve risk factors, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high blood sugar. If these are not treated, they could lead to other diseases such as hypertension and diabetes. Xenical should be taken in conjunction with a well-balanced calorie-controlled diet and other appropriate measures such as exercise.Active Ingredients:Xenical does not contain sucrose, gluten, tartrazine or any other azo dyes. Objective:To compare the cost of over-the-counter (OTC) Orlistat and other weight loss products. A literature review was conducted, and all published articles were included. A literature search was conducted using the following electronic databases: PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, Medline, and Web of Science. This was followed by a review of the literature. A total of 17 articles were included, with the final database search was conducted using the following keywords: 'over-the-counter (OTC) weight loss products', 'orlistat', 'weight loss products', 'weight loss drugs', 'weight loss drugs', and 'obesity'. The final database search included studies that met the following criteria: 1) the articles were case-controlled trials; 2) the studies were case-controlled prospective cohort studies; 3) the articles were case-controlled clinical trials; 4) the articles were case-controlled clinical trials only; 5) the articles were case-controlled prospective cohort studies; 6) the studies were case-controlled case reports; 7) the studies were case-control studies; 8) the studies were case-control studies only; 9) the studies were case-control studies only.

Methods:A literature review was conducted in two stages, in the first stage, the first and second stages, respectively, and then the literature search was conducted in the third stage.

Results:The total number of eligible articles was 5. The total number of articles was 31, and there were 17 in the first stage, 8 in the second stage, and 1 in the third stage.

The third stage of the studies was also not consistent with the results of the literature review and the results of the literature search. There was no difference in the costs of the OTC Orlistat compared with the other products, although the price was significantly lower for the OTC Orlistat compared with the other products.

Orlistat is used to treat obesity and help in weight loss. Orlistat is to be used along with a low-calorie diet and regular physical exercise. Obesity is a common condition associated with excessive body fat, which in turn increases the risk of other health problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, certain cancers, and heart disease. Intake of more calories than you burn by exercise or daily activities results in obesity.

Orlistat contains Orlistat, which works in the small intestine and stomach and prevents the action of enzymes that break down fat, which is absorbed by the body. Orlistat decreases the absorption of fat from the food you eat. Thus, fat passes through the gut and is excreted in the faeces, which makes the body unable to use fat as a source of energy or convert it into fat tissue. Thereby, Orlistat helps in weight loss.
